Ballet Studio, Nusa Sentral | Modern Flow and Dynamic Curves

This ballet studio is designed to offer a modern feel balanced with soft elements, using different shades of grey to create a sophisticated and balanced environment. The design narrative is built on the constant communication of curves and soft edges throughout the space, emphasizing visual flow and grace.

Entrance and Dynamics: Curated Softness

Upon entering, visitors immediately sense the soft, flowing atmosphere. A wall-hanging cabinet with a curve design offers a place for medal display and decorations, illuminated by LED strips. The walls feature two color tones painted at different heights to create visual depth and soothe the eyes.

The entrance path features a curved-edges beam designed as a welcoming element leading to the dancing hall, with a large window nearby for viewing. The doors are curated with a semi-arch design in soft grey to match the two-toned walls. This curved element continues onto the ceiling design, where cove lights and varying heights evoke a dynamic sense of space volume. A long strip of LED light adds detail and provides visual direction, guiding the eyes through the studio.

Dancing Halls: Flexible Space and Practice

The studio includes two dancing halls of different sizes to cater to varying student numbers. The larger hall is equipped with a big mirror for practice, which also visually expands the room.

The smaller room is highly versatile, featuring a foldable door at the entrance to allow full control over space organization and function. A movable mirror is provided for small group sessions. Throughout both halls, decorations are influenced by curve and soft-edges elements to keep the ambience warm and comfortable. A humble pantry with water supply and cabinet storage is provided to ease daily usage and offer a decluttering solution.
