This residence was conceived as an urban sanctuary, marrying modern minimalism with ultimate comfort. Our intention was to design an environment that reflects a sophisticated city lifestyle while prioritizing practical living and a consistently serene atmosphere.
Foyer & Exterior: Warm Welcome, Modern Edge
The home’s exterior immediately signals a warm and inviting atmosphere through a balanced use of materials. We blended soft-tone wood tiles with gray stone-like textures and a modern ACP awning structure. This aesthetic continues into the car porch where a full-height, gray-toned shoe cabinet reinforces the modern touch. Illuminated by vertical LED strips and featuring two different laminate surfaces (solid gray and stone texture), this cabinet serves as a sophisticated focal point. A suspended settee creates a floating effect that is both stylish and promotes easy cleaning, perfectly suited for modern living.
Living & Dining Room: Artistic Airiness
The overall house is enveloped in light gray shades, enhancing the gentle artistry of urban living and providing a spacious, airy ambiance. In the living area, an undulating ceiling design emphasizes the height and volume, lending a sophisticated feel to the space. This is complemented by a curved TV feature wall presented smoothly in a light-colored laminate, flowing seamlessly from the ceiling design. Ample storage is provided by a grounded console featuring a gray stone-like laminate top and white drawer compartments, ensuring design continuity. To maintain a harmonious environment, all furnishings and decorations are proposed within the same subtle color shades. A thoughtful gray curtain system allows for full control of natural light, especially in the dining area, which features a minimalist six-seater table—the ideal setup for both casual family meals and intimate gatherings.
Dry & Wet Kitchen: Seamless Utility
Moving deeper into the home, a wide gray dry kitchen with a stone-top island serves as a casual food preparation area and decluttering station. The spacious bottom and top cabinets are designed to cater to daily needs and organization. We created a highly functional layout by combining a tall unit fridge and a built-in oven cabinet with a small, unutilized space cleverly converted into a small pantry. A gray feature wall acts as a stylish partition and includes L-shaped shelves, adding detail to the dry kitchen. The use of a white aluminum glass door between the dry and wet kitchens improves visibility and allows natural daylight to penetrate. In the wet kitchen, we differentiated the space with a gray quartz tabletop and off-white cabinets, with LED strips along the top highlighting the preparation station. Combining the wet kitchen and laundry area maximizes space usage and ensures a smooth, hassle-free workflow.
Family Hall & Entertainment Zones
Responding to the owner’s request for a casual family hall, we designed a space that serves as an “in-home” bar. Mimicking a commercial bar with a high bar table and drinks station, this area features a modern drink cabinet that functions beautifully under low light. Backlit light shelves highlight special drink selections and soften the space without glare.
Additionally, a separate room was designated as an Entertainment Room for family and friends. This room uses a dark gray tone paint to create a cozy, dramatic backdrop. Equipped for movie screening, karaoke, and computer gaming, it offers a deep, calming, and indulgent atmosphere. The low light and dark furnishings are perfect for resting and rejuvenation, while a glimpse of bright purple at the gaming station subtly improves the sense of challenge for the player.
Home Office: Clarity and Focus
For the home office, we prioritized a white color palette to evoke a professional and clean atmosphere. This minimalist sanctuary is designed for comfort and focus, featuring a clear glass table and a sculptural storage cabinet for easy workflow and storage solutions. The placement of the study table faces a window, ensuring a good source of natural light that softens the space throughout the day.
Master Bedroom & Wardrobe: Inviting Retreat
The master bedroom is a retreat of comfort and calm, using light colors throughout. A full-height feature wall with vertical groove lines serves as a minimal and modern bedhead. Soft layering fabric helps maintain visual harmony and a timeless feel. The wardrobe area is fully utilized with full-height cabinets for maximum storage. A tall glass display unit creates a distinct aesthetic contrast against the solid color casement wardrobe. Completing the space, a subtly colored dressing table is lit by a full-height mirror with attached LED strips, streamlining the getting-ready process. A minimal, soft bathroom ambiance further elevates the relaxing feel, perfect for a warm bath.
